Dr. Fred Kapple
Dr.  Kapple is a native of Tulsa, and has practiced general dentistry in Tulsa for over forty years. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and received his Doctorate Degree at the University of Missouri at the Kansas City School of Dentistry.  In addition, he completed two years of training and practice in the United States Air Force.

Fred has enjoyed living in this area because of family, friends, and many patients. He loves dentistry and all of its facets, but tries to pursue diversions such as fly fishing, fly tying, reading, and enjoying time with his wife, four grown children and six grandchildren.

Dr. Kapple is a member of the American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, Tulsa County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Tulsa Study Club, and The Endo Study Club. He is active with his church, men’s ministries and various civic and business groups.

Lindsey Bates RDH
Lindsey, a graduate of Broken Arrow High school, attended NSU Tahlequah and also graduated from Missouri Southern State University School of Hygiene. Lindsey is married and has one son named Cooper that is 2.5 years old along with 2 cats and 1 dog. Lindsey is an excellent, gentle and personable care giver. Along with her passion for her work, she is an avid softball player and continues to have fun playing as often as possible.

Lisa Thompson RDH
Lisa, both an outstanding hygienist and educator of her patients. She is caring and gentle in her treatment as well as compassionate as she attempts to inform the patient of the methods of home care and prevention of disease. She has worked for midtown for 9 years, coming to us after serving in both the Oklahoma University and Tulsa Community College Dental Hygiene programs as a clinical instructor.  Lisa is married and has a child (poodle) named Cooper.

Shelly Smalley
Shelly is usually one the first faces you will see when entering our office. She is one of our beautiful receptionist and Dr. Kapple’s daughter. She has worked at various areas of the clinic over the past Twenty years. While she is always ready for fun and laughter with the patients, as treatment coordinator she works hard to see that our patients receive needed attention with a minimum of delay and inconvenience. Shelly is married and has two grown children, a 9 year old son, Chance and a 15 year old daughter, Taylor.  Shelly stays active in the outdoors while she enjoys spending time on her husband’s Harley Davidson bike.

Joy Armbrister
Joy is our friendly hygiene coordinator and will be your primary contact for assuring your timely cleanings and periodic examinations. She does a great job of juggling the patient’s schedule with that of our hygiene staff. Joy’s hometown is Ochelata, Oklahoma and graduated from Caney Valley High school in 1998. Her education at Bartlesville Tri-Tech gained her an associate degree in business and she then graduated from the Green Country School of Dental Assisting in Claremore.

Joy is married and has a 10 year old son named Justin and a 9 year old son Taylor.  She enjoys spending time with the boys and along with her family she is active in baseball, fishing, camping and loves outdoor activities.

Phylis Ryser
Phylis Ryser is the perfect example of the kind of relationships that have grown through the years at Mid-Town Dentistry. She has been a loyal and dedicated “fixture” of our office since 1970. Before computers, Phylis was and still is “resident memory” in that she knows, remembers facts about, and loves our patients, some who have been with us since 1970. She is active in our recall program and does a wonderful job of keeping in touch with patients and their needs.

Danielle Kapple
Danielle is a graduate of Mound High School.  She is Dr. Kapple’s head chair side assistant and has been with our office for 3 years. She has aspirations of becoming a Hygienist in the future.  She has already completed all the requirements needed for the program, and is looking forward to enrolling soon. She and her husband have two boys, 5 year old Destry and 2 year old Justice.  These two boys help give Dr. Kapple a life after working hours since they are his grandchildren.

Laura Pulay
Laura is also one of Dr. Kapple’s chair side assistants.  She is in charge of ordering supplies and materials. She has been in the dental profession for more than twenty years and has had experience in both general and pediatric dental offices. She has two children, Katy and Zack and a husband that loves to get the whole family on the lake.  Laura has been here a Midtown for over 14 years.  She has a true passion for her patients and does a great job in communicating with them.
