At Midtown Dentistry, cosmetic treatments can be extended beyond beautiful tooth enhancement, shading, shaping, contouring, crowning, veneering and straightening to effect the smile, we can also offer professional treatments to reduce the appearance of facial lines which develop over time. Our dentists have working knowledge of facial anatomy and physiology together with training in the use of facial cosmetic treatments, which can  enhance your dentistry, your appearance and give you a more youthful look.

Muscle relaxing techniques using Botox® and Facial skin (Dermal) Fillers can soften facial expression and refresh your looks by temporarily reducing or eliminating frown lines  between the eyes above the nose, forehead creases and crows feet near the eyes or softening deeper folds around the nose and lines at the corner of the mouth called marionette lines. Products used include Botox®  Cosmetic, Restylane, and Juvederm.  Juvederm has been found to last up to one year.  These treatments can be used to compliment cosmetic dental treatment or be carried out separately.

At Midtown we offer the advantage during these treatments that have made general dental treatments so much more tolerable.  Nitrous Oxide, an inhaled sedative can be used before any injections are given either to numb the treated areas or for the treatment itself.  We also offer various sedative liquids or pills which often allow you to sleep or relax during the procedures.

Lip Rejuvenation

Ageing, lip wrinkles and treatment
Natural substances such as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid that provide the skin with structure and volume decrease with age. The lips in particular have an extremely thin outer skin layer which becomes progressively thinner with age. How do the lips show their age?
Over time the corners of the mouth can begin to droop (mouth frown), the shaped area of the upper lip known as the Cupid's Bow begins to flatten out and we start to lose the appearance of full lips and volume. Lip lines and lip wrinkles can also begin to appear due to lip muscle movement and cause lipstick to bleed.

Treatment for lip ageing and lip wrinkles
Injectable dermal fillers can be used to treat the border of the upper and/or lower lip to enhance lip contour and definition. Dermal fillers can effectively treat lip lines and lip wrinkles that come with lip ageing. Lip volume can also be improved with treatment in the lip body to create more full lips.
